Febutax-40 Tablet is used for the following:

• Chronic management of hyperuricemia in adult patients with gout

• Reducing high uric acid levels in the body to prevent gout attacks

• Preventing joint damage caused by recurrent gout attacks

• Managing hyperuricemia when other gout medications have proven ineffective or intolerable

To take Febutax-40 Tablet properly, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food as per your preference.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Remember not to stop taking this medicine without discussing with your doctor first.

Febutax-40 Tablet is taken orally.

Febutax-40 Tablet contains Febuxostat (40 mg), which has a unique way of acting on your body:

• Inhibits Xanthine Oxidase: Febuxostat works by selectively blocking an enzyme called xanthine oxidase in your body. This enzyme is responsible for converting purines into uric acid.

• Reduces Uric Acid Levels: By inhibiting the activity of xanthine oxidase, Febuxostat effectively reduces uric acid production at the source. This results in lower serum uric acid levels and prevents crystallization of uric acid in the joints that can trigger painful gout attacks.

• Maintains Optimal Uric Acid Levels: The ultimate goal of Febuxostat is to maintain serum uric acid below 6 mg/dL, thus helping manage chronic gout and prevent joint damage due to high uric acid levels.

• Store your Febutax-40 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 20°C to 25°C.
