CompositionTorplat 90 Tablet is used to prevent blood clots in adults who have had a heart attack or unstable angina (severe chest pain), or who have had a stent placed. It is a single-ingredient antiplatelet containing ticagrelor.
It helps lower the long-term risk of stroke and repeat heart attack. Take it with or without food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop it suddenly, as this increases the risk of a serious heart event.
Take care to avoid cuts and injuries, use a soft-bristled toothbrush, and let all doctors and dentists know you take an antiplatelet medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have a history of bleeding problems, asthma, COPD or liver disease, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor or dentist that you take this medicine before any surgery or dental procedure. Contact your doctor immediately if you have unusual or prolonged bleeding, sudden breathlessness or black stools. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
