Corbis 5 Tablet is a medicine used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart (angina). It helps lower blood pressure, slow down the heart rate, and reduce the workload on the heart, protecting against long-term cardiovascular complications.
It contains bisoprolol, a selective beta-blocker. It works by blocking stress hormone signals on heart tissue, allowing the heart to beat more slowly and efficiently. Take it regularly as prescribed, usually once daily in the morning. Do not stop taking it suddenly, as doing so may cause a sharp rise in blood pressure or trigger chest pain.
Adopting heart-healthy habits is essential for blood pressure management. This includes a low-salt diet, regular physical exercise, weight management, avoiding tobacco, and limiting alcohol consumption.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have asthma, severe circulation problems, slow heart rate (bradycardia), diabetes, or kidney or liver disease. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by your doctor. Regular blood pressure monitoring is recommended.
