Losar-50 Tablet is used to control high blood pressure, manage heart failure and protect kidney function in adults with type 2 diabetes and hypertension.

Uses of Losar-50 Tablet are:

• High Blood Pressure: Helps lower and control blood pressure.
• Stroke Prevention: Reduces the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy.
• Kidney Protection: Helps protect kidney function in adults with type 2 diabetes.

• Swallow the Losar 50 MG Tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the Losar 50 MG Tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Take the Losar 50 MG Tablet at fixed times each day to maintain a consistent level of medication. 
• Do not change your Losar 50 MG Tablet dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Losar 50 MG Tablets are taken orally.

The active ingredient in Losar 50 MG Tablet, losartan, is classified as an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It blocks the action of an angiotensin II hormone in the body.

Angiotensin II is a hormone that causes blood vessels to narrow and constrict, leading to increased blood pressure. By blocking the receptors that angiotensin II acts on, losartan prevents its effects and helps to relax and widen the blood vessels. It results in decreased blood pressure and improved blood flow, reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes associated with hypertension.

• Store Losar 50 MG Tablet at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• A healthy and balanced diet is essential for managing high blood pressure. Avoid processed foods high in sodium.
• Limit your salt intake to less than 5 g daily. Too much salt can increase blood pressure. Therefore, avoid adding extra salt to your food.
• Include plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. 
• Exercise regularly to lower blood pressure. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise daily.
• Maintain a healthy weight through diet and regular exercise. Being overweight makes you susceptible to increased blood pressure.
• Manage stress through relaxation techniques such as yoga, meditation, or deep breathing exercises to control your blood pressure.
• Quitting smoking is also an effective strategy for managing high blood pressure.
• Drinking too much alcohol can increase blood pressure, so limiting your intake can lower the risk of hypertension.
