CompositionDeplatt A 75 Tablet is used in adults to prevent harmful clots in people with acute coronary syndrome, such as a heart attack or unstable angina, and after a stent has been placed in a heart artery. It is a combination medicine containing clopidogrel 75mg and aspirin 75mg, which belong to a class of medicines called antiplatelets.
This medicine works by stopping platelets in the blood from clumping together, using two different routes, so clots are less likely to form in the heart arteries or a stent. Take it at the same time, preferably after food, as directed by your doctor.
Do not stop taking it without speaking to your cardiologist, as stopping early, especially after a stent, can sharply raise the risk of a heart attack. Tell any doctor or dentist treating you that you take it, and avoid other painkillers such as ibuprofen unless your doctor advises.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a bleeding disorder, a stomach ulcer, asthma that worsens with aspirin, liver or kidney problems, planned surgery, or take omeprazole or blood thinners. Do not take it if you are actively bleeding. Seek urgent help for black stools, vomiting blood, blood in the urine, or a sudden severe headache, weakness or confusion.
