Nexpro 40 Tablet 15

Nexpro-40 Tablet is used to treat acid reflux disease, ulcers, and conditions where the stomach produces too much acid due to a tumour. It helps reduce excess acid, heal ulcers, and relieve symptoms like heartburn, acidity, indigestion, and stomach pain.

• Take the Nexpro 40 MG tablet with a glass of water. 
• Do not crush or chew the tablet while consuming it.
• Take the tablet at fixed times each day to maintain a consistent level of medication.

• The Nexpro 40 MG tablet should be administered orally.

• The Nexpro 40 MG tablet contains Esomeprazole which is a proton pump inhibitor(PPI). PPIs work by inhibiting the activity of the parietal cells in the stomach, which are responsible for producing and releasing acid into the stomach. By blocking the final step in the acid production process, PPIs effectively reduce the amount of acid in the stomach. Hence Esomeprazole is classified as PPI.

• Store Nexpro tablet in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
• Store it at a temperature of 20-25ºC.
• Please keep it away from the reach of children. 
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Avoid foods which will induce stomach acid production and cause heartburn. These foods include tomatoes, citrus fruits, spicy and hot foods, caffeinated beverages, chocolates and pepper.
• While going to sleep after taking food, keep the head and neck above the feet level. Try to keep a single block instead of pile pillows. This will prevent the stomach acid from coming to the oesophagus(food pipe). 
• Alcohol and smoking should be avoided while taking Nexpro 40 MG tablet. Alcohol will increase stomach acid production, which will lead to heartburn. Cigarette smoking will affect the valve that controls the backflow of contents from the stomach to the mouth. 
• Long-term side effects of using Nexpro tablet can be controlled by eating foods rich in fibre, berries and green leafy vegetables. Fermented dairy products can help in controlling excess stomach acid production.
• Long sitting hours will induce stomach acid production. Take a five-minute break after sitting for more than 30-60 minutes.

• Nexpro is a well-tolerated medicine. It can provide relief for a long time.
• After taking the Nexpro tablet, if you have watery diarrhoea or stomach ache, inform your doctor immediately. 
• Long-term use of Nexpro tablets leads to magnesium deficiency and fragile bones.
• It is essential to contact a doctor if you experience symptoms such as oedema (swelling), decreased urination, lower back pain, nausea and vomiting, as well as rash or fever.
