Corbis 2.5 tablet is a medicine used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension), chest pain (angina), and stable chronic heart failure. It also helps support heart function by reducing the workload on the heart and helping maintain a steady heart rhythm.
It contains bisoprolol, a cardio-selective beta-blocker. It is usually taken at the same time each day, with or without food. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as high blood pressure and early heart failure often have no symptoms. Do not stop this medicine suddenly, as this can lead to a rapid rise in heart rate or chest pain.
Healthy lifestyle changes support this medicine. These include regular moderate exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, eating a balanced diet low in saturated fat and salt, limiting alcohol, and quitting smoking. Managing stress and getting adequate sleep can also support heart health.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have asthma, a very slow heart rate, circulation problems in the hands and feet (such as Raynaud's phenomenon), diabetes, or are taking other medicines. It may mask some signs of low blood sugar in people with diabetes. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
