Rantac Mint Flavour Syrup is used to reduce excess stomach acid in conditions such as stomach and duodenal ulcers and acid reflux. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing ranitidine, which belongs to a class of medicines called H2 receptor blockers (H2 blockers).
This medicine is also used to heal acid damage to the food pipe, to manage Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and to relieve heartburn and indigestion. Measure each dose with the cup provided and take it for the full duration prescribed by your doctor.
Eating smaller meals, avoiding spicy, fatty or acidic food, limiting tea, coffee and alcohol, and not lying down soon after eating can reduce acid symptoms.
