OFM-DS Suspension is used in children to treat susceptible bacterial and protozoal intestinal infections that may cause acute diarrhoea or dysentery.
It is a combination antibiotic and antiprotozoal medicine. Shake the bottle well and give it to your child exactly as prescribed by your child's doctor. Complete the full prescribed course even if your child starts feeling better.
Give your child enough fluids or oral rehydration solution to help prevent dehydration. Simple food and good hand hygiene may support recovery and reduce the spread of infection.
Before giving this medicine, tell your child's doctor about any liver or kidney problems and all other medicines your child uses. Contact the doctor if your child develops a rash, persistent vomiting, severe stomach pain, or worsening diarrhoea.
