Oflomac-M Forte Suspension interacts with the following medicines:

• Anticoagulants: Metronidazole can potentially enhance the effect of medicines like warfarin and acenocoumarol, possibly leading to increased bleeding risk.
• Oral hypoglycaemic medicines: Ofloxacin may increase the effects of medications like metformin and acarbose, causing low or high blood glucose levels, especially in diabetic patients.
• Antacids and iron supplements: These can decrease the absorption of ofloxacin in your child's body. Ensure you keep a gap of at least 2 hours between giving these and Oflomac-M Forte Suspension to your child.
• QT-Prolonging medications: Both metronidazole and ofloxacin can prolong the QT interval. Concurrent use with other QT-prolonging medications like amiodarone and quinidine should be avoided.

There are no significant known interactions of Oflomac-M Forte Suspension with any foods.

Oflomac-M Forte Suspension interacts with the following diseases:

• Central Nervous System (CNS) disorders: Metronidazole might cause nervous system side effects, so use it with caution if your child has disorders affecting their central nervous system like epilepsy and peripheral neuropathy.
• Myasthenia gravis: Myasthenia gravis is a chronic autoimmune disorder which causes weakness of the skeletal muscles. Ofloxacin might worsen muscle weakness in children with this condition.
• Liver disease: In rare cases, as ofloxacin is metabolised by the liver, it may possibly cause increased hepatotoxicity, especially in children with liver disorders or impairment. If your child has liver disease, this medicine should be given under careful medical supervision.
