O2M Suspension is a medicine used to treat bacterial and parasitic infections in children, including infections of the gut, teeth, lungs, urinary tract, genital tract, and skin. It helps manage loose motions (diarrhoea), stomach cramps, and dehydration caused by infections.
It contains ofloxacin and metronidazole. It works by stopping the growth of harmful bacteria and parasites, clearing the infection effectively. Give it for the full prescribed duration to ensure complete recovery and prevent infection recurrence.
Proper hydration is an important part of treatment when managing loose motions. Ensure your child drinks plenty of clean water, oral rehydration solutions (ORS), or clear fluids to prevent dehydration as advised by your paediatrician.
Before giving this medicine, inform your doctor if your child has any kidney, liver, or heart problems, blood disorders, or known allergies to antibiotics. Your doctor will determine the correct dose based on your child's weight and age.
