CompositionXtor 40 Tablet is used to lower high cholesterol and triglycerides in adults. It is a single-ingredient statin containing atorvastatin.
It is also used in people with inherited high cholesterol (familial hypercholesterolaemia) and reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke, alongside a diet low in saturated fat. Take it at any time of day, with or without food, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and keep taking it even when you feel well.
Eat less saturated fat by cutting down on fried food, ghee, butter and red meat, and add fibre through vegetables, dal and whole grains. Stay physically active.
This medicine must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, or dark urine. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
