Azoran 75 Tablet is used for the following:

• Preventing the body from rejecting transplanted organs such as kidneys, hearts, and livers

• Managing severe cases of rheumatoid arthritis, a condition causing inflammation in joints

• Keeping systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), an autoimmune disease that affects many parts of the body, under control

• Dealing with chronic active hepatitis, a long-term liver condition

• Addressing idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, a disorder affecting blood platelets

• Managing acquired haemolytic anaemia, a condition where red blood cells are destroyed faster than they can be made

• Handling severe cases of pemphigus vulgaris, dermatomyositis, polyarteritis nodosa and pyoderma gangrenous, different types of skin disorders

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

Azoran 75 Tablet is taken orally.

Azoran 75 Tablet contains azathioprine (75 mg). This component works in the following ways:

• Immunosuppressive Action: Azathioprine acts as an immunosuppressant that reduces the activity of your body's immune system. This means it weakens the system that usually fights invaders like bacteria and viruses.

• Conversion to 6-Mercaptopurine: After intake, azathioprine gets converted into another compound called 6-mercaptopurine (6-MP) inside your body.

• Disruption of Cell Proliferation: The 6-MP disrupts the synthesis of purines which are essential components of DNA and RNA in cells. This action interferes with cell multiplication, particularly impacting white blood cells involved in immune responses. By doing so, the medicine can help prevent your body from attacking and rejecting transplanted organs and reduce inflammation and tissue damage in autoimmune disorders.

• Keep your Azoran 75 Tablet in a tightly closed container.

• Store at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine away from light and moisture, maintaining a dry environment.

• Always keep this medication out of reach of children.

• Maintain good hygiene practices to reduce the risk of infections, as Azoran 75 Tablet may lower your immunity.

• As Azathioprine in Azoran 75 Tablet increases photosensitivity, use sunscreen and cover up with protective clothing when stepping outside to limit sun exposure.
