Aldactone 50 Tablet 15

Aldactone 50 Tablet is used in adults to manage fluid retention, high blood pressure and conditions involving excess aldosterone linked to heart failure, liver or kidney conditions.

Uses of Aldactone 50 Tablet are:

• Fluid Retention: Helps reduce oedema in heart failure, liver and kidney conditions.
• High Blood Pressure: Helps lower and control blood pressure.
• Aldosteronism: Used in conditions with excess aldosterone and to help manage associated low potassium levels.

• Tab Aldactone 50 Mg tablet should be taken only if a doctor has prescribed it. 
• Swallow the tablet as a whole along with water. Do not chew or break the tablet.
• It should be taken as advised by the doctor. 
• Aldactone 50 Mg tablet should be consumed after meals.
• Take this drug at least 3-4 hours before bedtime as it causes frequent urination.  
• Keep taking the medicine even if your condition improves.
• Do not share this medicine with others. 

• Aldactone 50 Mg tablet are administered orally.

Aldactone 50 Mg tablet composition includes Spironolactone as the active ingredient. 

• This medicine belongs to the group of aldosterone antagonists or potassium sparing diuretics. 
• Spironolactone functions by blocking the activity of the aldosterone hormone. 
• Due to this regulation, the patient’s body no longer retains fluid or water.

• This medicine should be stored at room temperature (below 30ºC).
• Store it in a dry place away from moisture. 
• Do not freeze the drug. 
• Do not use this medicine past the expiry date.

• Have a balanced and healthy diet.
• Avoid a high-salt diet. 
• Do not use potassium substitutes while on this medication. 
• Get enough sleep so that your body gets sufficient rest. 
• Avoid cigarette smoking and drinking alcohol.

• Avoid Aldactone 50 Mg tablet in case of known allergies to active ingredients.
