Aldactone 100 Tablet is used to manage fluid overload and reduce hospital visits due to heart failure. It helps lower blood pressure, reducing the risk of strokes and heart attacks. It is also beneficial for cirrhotic patients and those with nephrotic syndrome when fluid/sodium restrictions are ineffective.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

Aldactone 100 Tablet is taken orally.

Aldactone 100 Tablet contains spironolactone (100 mg), which works on your body as follows:

• Aldosterone Receptor Competition: Spironolactone competes with aldosterone receptors in your kidney tubules.

• Sodium and Water Excretion: By binding to these receptors, spironolactone promotes the excretion of sodium and water from your body.

• Potassium Retention: The medicine helps your body retain potassium, thereby managing fluid overload and lowering blood pressure.

• Oedema Management: This action contributes to treating oedema associated with various heart, liver, and kidney disorders.

• Store Aldactone 100 Tablet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight; ideally at room temperature below 30°C.
