Soihenz Tablet is used for managing breathing difficulties caused by thick mucus in lung diseases, preventing liver damage from acetaminophen overdose, and potentially supporting heart function in heart failure. It may also help with liver swelling (hepatitis), provide supplemental aid in enhancing athletic performance, manage fatigue, assist with weight management in obesity, and has tentative use in controlling diabetes.

To ensure you use Soihenz Tablet correctly, adhere to the following guidelines:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's important not to discontinue this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Soihenz Tablet is taken orally.

Soihenz Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Acetylcysteine (150 mg): This ingredient acts as a mucolytic agent, meaning it breaks down thick mucus in the lungs making it easier to cough out. When dealing with an acetaminophen overdose, acetylcysteine helps replenish an essential antioxidant called glutathione that protects the liver from the harmful effects of toxic metabolites.

• Taurine (500 mg): Taurine supports heart and brain function by maintaining calcium homeostasis and neutralising harmful substances like hypochlorous acid in the body. It also plays a role in regulating energy metabolism, reducing stress in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER)—a cell organelle involved in protein synthesis—and promoting nerve growth.

• Store your Soihenz Tablet in a cool, dry place where the temperature is below 25 degrees Celsius.

• Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from dampness or moisture.

• Always keep this medication out of the reach of children.

• Make sure to use your Soihenz Tablet before the expiry date on the pack.
