Depin Retard Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Preventing angina pectoris chest pain

• Treating vasospastic angina

• Managing Raynaud's phenomenon

• Reducing peripheral vascular resistance

• Decreasing workload on the heart

• Improving blood flow to the heart muscles

• Helping in preterm labour management

Follow these instructions while taking Depin Retard Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• You may take this medicine with or without food, but be consistent.

• Take the tablet at the same time each day.

• Consume the tablet immediately after removing it from the packaging.

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice about your condition.

Depin Retard Tablet is taken orally.

Depin Retard Tablet contains Nifedipine (20 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Blocks calcium channels: Nifedipine prevents calcium from entering smooth muscle cells of blood vessels and heart muscle cells. This action is important because calcium is needed for muscle contraction.

• Relaxes blood vessels: By blocking calcium entry, nifedipine causes the blood vessels to relax and widen (vasodilation). This widening helps reduce the resistance against which your heart must pump.

• Reduces heart workload: The widening of blood vessels decreases the amount of work your heart needs to do to pump blood throughout your body, which helps lower blood pressure.

• Improves blood flow: By widening the blood vessels, nifedipine increases blood flow to the heart muscle, which helps prevent chest pain (angina) caused by reduced oxygen supply to the heart.

• Store Depin Retard Tablet at room temperature (below 30°C) in a cool, dry place.
