Reclimet Tablet interacts with the following medicines:

• Other Antidiabetic Medicines: If you are taking insulin or other oral antidiabetic medicines, such as glimepiride or sitagliptin, along with Reclimet Tablet, your risk of hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) may increase.
• Alcohol: Consuming alcohol while on Reclimet Tablet may also enhance the risk of hypoglycaemia and a dangerous condition called lactic acidosis.
• Iodinated Contrast Agents: These agents used for imaging procedures can lead to acute kidney failure and accumulation of Metformin in the body. You might need to stop taking Reclimet Tablet before or at the time of such procedures.
• Certain Antibiotics, Antifungals, and Antivirals: Medications like ciprofloxacin, fluconazole, or ritonavir can increase the likelihood of hypoglycaemia or lactic acidosis when taken with Reclimet Tablet.

Certain foods may interact with Reclimet Tablet:

• High Sugar Foods: Foods high in sugar can raise your blood glucose levels and decrease the effectiveness of this medicine.

Reclimet Tablet interacts with the following diseases:

• Kidney Disease: If you have severe kidney disease, it is not recommended to take this medicine.
• Liver Disease: A lower dose is generally advised for those with mild to moderate liver disease. It's not suggested for patients with severe liver disease.
• Lactic Acidosis: Metformin, an ingredient in this medicine, can rarely cause a severe condition called lactic acidosis. If you experience symptoms like deep or rapid breathing, persistent nausea, vomiting or stomach pain while on this medication, consult your doctor immediately.

The daily dose of Reclimet Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. The dosage may vary based on your individual response to the medicine and the severity of your condition. It's crucial to stick to the prescribed dosage and never exceed it without consulting your doctor.

In case you have unintentionally taken more than the prescribed dose of Reclimet Tablet, you might experience symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, or stomach discomfort. If these symptoms persist or worsen, inform your doctor promptly.

If you forget to take your regular dose of Reclimet Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Never increase your dosage without consulting your doctor.
