Composition

CETIRIZINE (10 MG)

Cetzine Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called antihistamines. It is used to manage symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever), perennial allergic rhinitis (year-round allergies), and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives). This tablet helps relieve symptoms of sneezing, itching, runny nose, and watery eyes due to allergies.

Some side effects may be noted with the use of this tablet, which should be timely informed to a doctor. Any allergy to this tablet, existing diseases and other ongoing medications should also be brought to the notice of your doctor before this tablet is prescribed to you.

Cetzine Tablet is used in the following conditions:

Seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever): This tablet can effectively manage the symptoms of runny nose and sneezing due to pollen, dust, or other environmental allergens.
Perennial allergic rhinitis: This tablet also controls perennial allergic rhinitis symptoms. It occurs year-round due to dust mites, pet dander, and mould spores. This tablet helps to reduce itching, swelling, and redness due to perennial allergic rhinitis.
Chronic idiopathic urticaria: This tablet is also taken to manage itchy, red, raised hives on the skin.

Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
Do not change your dose of this tablet or take it more often than prescribed.

Cetzine Tablet is taken orally as a tablet.

Cetzine Tablet contains the following components:

Cetirizine hydrochloride (10 mg): It is an antihistamine that works by blocking the effects of histamine, a chemical released by the body during an allergic reaction. Pregnancy

Cetzine Tablet should be taken cautiously during pregnancy. Before taking this tablet, pregnant mothers are advised to consult with their doctors.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding mothers should not take Cetzine Tablet. It can pass to the infant through breast milk. Before taking this tablet while breastfeeding, it is recommended to consult your doctor

Alcohol

Alcohol is not recommended while taking Cetzine Tablet. Alcohol can add to drowsiness and tiredness due to this tablet. It can also worsen the side effects of this medication.

Liver

Patients with liver impairment should take caution while taking this medication. Inform your doctor if you have liver issues if this medication is prescribed to you.

Kidney

Patients with mild to moderate kidney impairment should cautiously take Cetzine Tablet. Dose adjustment may be required in such cases. Those with end-stage kidney disease and patients undergoing hemodialysis should not take this tablet. Inform your doctor if you have kidney impairment before taking this tablet.

Using Machines & Driving

Cetzine Tablet may cause drowsiness and affect your ability to operate machinery or drive a vehicle. Therefore, avoiding any attentive task is recommended after taking this medicine.

Allergy

Children
