Valdiff-M 500 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Metformin (500 mg): As a biguanide-type medication, metformin works primarily by decreasing glucose production in the liver. It also improves insulin sensitivity which enhances glucose uptake by the body's cells and reduces glucose absorption in the intestines.

• Vildagliptin (50 mg): Classified as a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, vildagliptin works by blocking an enzyme that breaks down incretin hormones such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP). By inhibiting DPP-4, vildagliptin prolongs the action of these hormones leading to increased insulin secretion and reduced glucagon levels in a manner dependent on blood glucose levels.

• Store Valdiff-M 500 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15°C and 30°C.
