CompositionTEL REVELOL 40/50 TABLET is a combination medicine used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. By maintaining effective blood pressure control, it helps prevent serious cardiovascular complications such as heart attack and stroke.
It contains telmisartan and metoprolol succinate. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker and metoprolol is a beta-blocker. Take it whole with water as prescribed, preferably at the same time each day. Continue taking it as directed even when you feel well. Do not stop taking this medicine abruptly, as sudden withdrawal of a beta-blocker can cause a sharp rise in blood pressure or worsen heart problems.
Healthy daily habits assist in blood pressure control alongside medicine. These include restricting salt intake, engaging in regular physical exercise, maintaining a healthy body weight, and limiting alcohol.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have asthma, breathing difficulties, a slow heart rate, kidney disease, diabetes, or blood circulation problems. It is not suitable during pregnancy. Your doctor may check your heart rate, kidney function, and potassium levels regularly.
