Cortel M 50 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure in adults who require both renin-angiotensin system blockade and beta-blocker therapy.
It contains telmisartan 40mg and metoprolol succinate 50mg in an extended-release tablet. Take it as prescribed at the same time each day, preferably with food. Do not stop it suddenly; metoprolol must be tapered gradually to avoid rebound high blood pressure or worsening cardiac symptoms.
A low-salt diet, staying active within your limits, limiting alcohol, stopping smoking, and maintaining a healthy weight all support blood pressure management alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any asthma, a slow heart rate, significant heart failure, liver disease, or high potassium. Metoprolol can mask blood sugar warning signs in diabetes. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
