Telsaride Beta 50 Tablet 10 is used to manage high blood pressure in adults.

Uses of Telsaride Beta 50 Tablet 10 are:

• High blood pressure (hypertension): This combination helps control elevated blood pressure when treatment with both metoprolol and telmisartan is considered appropriate. Metoprolol reduces heart rate and cardiac workload, while telmisartan relaxes blood vessels.

• Blood pressure control when single therapy is inadequate: It may be prescribed when one medicine alone has not controlled your blood pressure well enough.

• Combined beta-blocker and ARB therapy: Your doctor may choose this combination when they judge that both a beta-blocker (which slows your heart rate and reduces heart workload) and an angiotensin receptor blocker (which relaxes blood vessels) are appropriate for managing your condition.

Follow these instructions while taking Telsaride Beta 50 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• You may take it with or without food.

• Take it at the same time each day to maintain steady levels in your body.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet, as it is an extended-release formulation designed to release the medicine slowly.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice on how to use this medicine.

Telsaride Beta 50 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Telsaride Beta 50 Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients that work together to lower blood pressure:

• Metoprolol succinate (50 mg): This is a beta-1 selective blocker (also called a cardioselective beta-blocker). It works by blocking special receptors called beta-1 receptors, which are found mainly in the heart muscle. By blocking these receptors, it reduces the effect of stress hormones such as adrenaline on your heart. This slows your heart rate, reduces the force of each heartbeat and lowers the amount of work your heart has to do, which in turn lowers your blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): It selectively blocks angiotensin II type 1 (AT₁) receptors, reducing blood vessel constriction and aldosterone-mediated sodium retention. This helps blood vessels relax and lowers blood pressure.

• Store the medicine in its original blister pack at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep it tightly closed and protect it from moisture and heat.

• Store away from direct sunlight.

• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Reduce your intake of salty foods such as pickles, papad, packaged soups and salty snacks, as excess dietary salt can contribute to high blood pressure.

• Maintain regular physical activity as advised by your doctor, while avoiding sudden strenuous exertion if you experience dizziness or other symptoms.
