CompositionSartel-Beta 50 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and to support the treatment of angina and heart failure. It combines telmisartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker, with metoprolol, a beta-blocker, and significantly reduces the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney complications.
Telmisartan relaxes and widens blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II, while metoprolol steadies the heart rate and eases the heart's workload, and together the two medicines give stronger blood pressure control and cardiovascular protection.
Take this extended-release tablet once daily at the same time each day, with or without food, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and continue even if you feel well.
Do not stop this medicine suddenly, as this can worsen angina or trigger heart problems due to the metoprolol component; any dose change should be made gradually under medical supervision. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy, have asthma, or a very slow heart rate.
