MIRBEG-25 Tablet is a medicine used to manage the symptoms of an overactive bladder in adults, such as needing to pass urine often, a sudden urgent need to urinate, leakage linked to urgency, and waking at night to urinate. It helps improve bladder control.
It contains mirabegron and belongs to a group of medicines called beta-3 adrenergic agonists. It works by relaxing the bladder muscle so the bladder can hold a larger volume of urine and contract less suddenly. Swallow the tablet whole, with or without food, and do not crush or chew it, as it is designed for steady release.
Some simple measures can help alongside this medicine. These include cutting down on caffeine and alcohol, managing how much you drink in the evening, and bladder training exercises if your doctor recommends them.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any high blood pressure, severe kidney or liver problems, or other medicines you take. Because it can raise blood pressure, your doctor may check your blood pressure regularly. Tell your doctor if you have difficulty passing urine while taking it.
