CompositionRaciper D Capsule is used to manage acid reflux (GERD) and acidity, especially when these come with nausea, vomiting or bloating. It is a combination medicine containing esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that lowers stomach acid, and domperidone, a prokinetic that helps the stomach empty more smoothly.
This medicine is also used in the management of stomach ulcers and indigestion linked to excess acid and slow stomach emptying. Take it on an empty stomach, usually before breakfast, and swallow the capsule whole without crushing or chewing. Take it in the dose and for the duration prescribed by your doctor.
Eating smaller meals, avoiding spicy, fatty and fried food, cutting down on tea, coffee and alcohol, and not lying down soon after meals can help reduce reflux. Keeping a healthy weight and stopping smoking may also help.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a heart rhythm problem, heart disease, liver or kidney disease, or low magnesium or potassium levels, and about all other medicines you take. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Contact your doctor if you have a fast or irregular heartbeat, fainting, black stools, difficulty swallowing, or if your symptoms do not improve. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
