Ziten-M Tablet is used for the following:

• Used for managing type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults by helping to control high blood sugar levels in individuals with this chronic condition.

• Improves glycemic control when other medications are inadequate, prescribed when single-medicine therapies don't provide sufficient blood sugar control.

• Acts as an adjunct to diet and exercise in diabetes management, used alongside a healthy diet and regular physical activity for effective control of type 2 diabetes.

Follow these instructions while taking Ziten-M Tablet:

• Do not crush, split, or chew the tablet.

• Always follow your doctor's advice regarding the dosage and duration of use.

• Never adjust the dose without consulting your doctor.

• If you're about to undergo any surgery or imaging procedures involving iodinated contrast, temporarily discontinue using Ziten-M Tablet and consult your doctor.

Ziten-M Tablet is taken orally.

Ziten-M Tablet is a combination medicine with two active ingredients:

• Metformin (500 mg): This ingredient works by reducing glucose production in the liver. It also lessens the absorption of glucose in the intestines and enhances insulin sensitivity, which leads to increased peripheral glucose uptake and use.

• Teneligliptin (20 mg): This is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. It slows down the inactivation of incretin hormones - GLP-1 and GIP. By doing so, teneligliptin encourages the pancreas to produce more insulin when blood sugar levels are high and reduces glucagon secretion.
