Telma-CT 40/12.5 Tablet is used in the long-term management of high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults when single-drug treatment is not sufficient, helping lower the risk of cardiovascular complications.

Uses of Telma-CT 40/12.5 Tablet are:

Telma-CT 40/12.5 Tablet contains two active components:

• Telmisartan (40 mg): It is a angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by selectively blocking angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) receptors in your body. This action stops angiotensin II from constricting your blood vessels and secreting aldosterone, which in turn helps widen your arteries (vasodilation) and decreases blood volume, effectively lowering your blood pressure.

• Chlorthalidone (12.5 mg): It is a thiazide-like diuretic, chlorthalidone promotes increased excretion of salt and water through your kidneys, leading to a reduction in blood volume and a drop in blood pressure. It also has some direct vasodilating activity which contributes to its blood pressure-lowering effect.

• Store Telma-CT 40/12.5 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Avoid exposure to excessive heat, light, or moisture.

• Keep the medicine securely out of reach of children.

• Be mindful to use the medicine before its expiry date.
