Composition

Amlodipine (5 Mg) + Telmisartan (40 Mg)

Telma-AM Tablet is used to control high blood pressure in adults when a single medicine is not enough, and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke.

It contains telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes the blood vessels, and amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that widens the blood vessels.

Take it as prescribed, and keep taking it even when you feel well. Reducing salt, staying active and limiting alcohol support blood pressure control.

Do not use it in pregnancy. Tell your doctor about any heart failure or liver problems before starting. Report marked ankle swelling, dizziness or persistent flushing.

Uses of Telma-AM Tablet are:

If this medicine makes you dizzy during the day, consider taking it at night after consulting your doctor. To lessen nausea and diarrhoea, try taking Telma-AM Tablet with food.

Telma Am Tablet 15 composition contains Amlodipine (5 Mg) + Telmisartan (40 Mg) as its active ingredients.

Telmisartan (40 mg): Known as an angiotensin II receptor antagonist (ARB), telmisartan functions by blocking the action of a hormone named angiotensin II. This hormone usually causes your blood vessels to narrow or constrict. By stopping this action, telmisartan relaxes your blood vessels and improves the flow of blood through them, which in turn reduces your blood pressure and decreases the workload on your heart.
Amlodipine (5 mg): This ingredient belongs to a group of medicines known as calcium channel blockers (CCB). Amlodipine works by blocking the entry of calcium ions into the cells of your heart and the muscles lining your blood vessels. This action helps these muscles relax and causes the vessels to widen, reducing peripheral vascular resistance and lowering your blood pressure.
