Teniva-M Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults by combining two antidiabetic medicines with complementary actions. Teneligliptin provides sustained DPP-4 inhibition throughout the 24-hour period, enhancing meal-related insulin release, while extended-release metformin reduces hepatic glucose production throughout the day.
It contains teneligliptin 20mg and metformin 500mg extended-release. Take it with food as prescribed at the same time each day, swallowing the tablet whole. The extended-release metformin formulation may reduce gastrointestinal (GI) side effects compared to standard-release forms.
Diet and lifestyle remain important alongside this medicine. Regular balanced meals, controlled carbohydrate intake, staying active, and maintaining healthy weight all support blood sugar management
