Teniva-M Tablet may interact with the following medications:

• Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors: Medicines like acetazolamide and methazolamide may increase the risk of lactic acidosis when taken with the tablet.
• Medicines that reduce metformin clearance: Medications such as ranolazine, vandetanib, dolutegravir, and cimetidine may increase metformin accumulation in the body when used with this tablet.
• Beta-blockers: Medicines like propranolol and bisoprolol when taken along with the medicine can further lower the blood glucose level, resulting in hypoglycaemia.

Certain foods can interact with Teniva-M Tablet. These include:

• High-fat meals: Foods like dairy products, nuts, eggs, and fatty fish may reduce the medicine's efficacy.

Teniva-M Tablet may interact with the following diseases:

• Type 1 diabetes: Teniva-M Tablet is contraindicated in patients with type 1 diabetes.
• Diabetic ketoacidosis: People with diabetic ketoacidosis are contraindicated from taking this medicine.
• Severe renal impairment: This medicine is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment. Its use could lead to lactic acidosis.
