Dynaglipt M 20/500 SR Tablet is used to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes when metformin alone does not provide adequate control, combining two complementary medicines.

• Type 2 Diabetes: Helps control blood sugar when metformin alone is not enough.

Dynaglipt-M Tablet works in your body through two active components, metformin and teneligliptin:

• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin is a biguanide that reduces both basal and postprandial blood glucose levels in your body. It decreases the production of glucose in your liver, reduces the absorption of glucose in your intestines and enhances insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilisation. Metformin does not stimulate insulin secretion; therefore, it carries a low risk of hypoglycaemia.
• Teneligliptin (20 mg): Teneligliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. This compound slows down the inactivation of hormones called incretins, such as GLP-1 and GIP. By extending the activity of these incretins, teneligliptin enhances the secretion of insulin and decreases the release of glucagon from cells in your pancreas in a glucose-dependent manner. This dual action results in an overall reduction of blood glucose levels with a low risk of hypoglycaemia.
