Dapanorm Trio Tablet comprises three active ingredients:

• Dapagliflozin (10 mg): This ingredient is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor that lowers blood glucose levels by reducing renal glucose reabsorption and increasing urinary glucose excretion. It also helps in modest weight loss and blood pressure reduction.
• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin is a biguanide which decreases glucose absorption from your gut, reduces hepatic glucose production, and enhances insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilisation.
• Sitagliptin (100 mg): As a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, sitagliptin slows down the inactivation of incretin hormones, thus boosting insulin synthesis and release from pancreatic beta cells and decreasing glucagon secretion from pancreatic alpha cells in a glucose-dependent manner.
