Omee Capsule is used to treat acid-related digestive problems such as heartburn, acid reflux, GERD, and stomach ulcers. It reduces excess stomach acid, relieves burning sensations and indigestion, and helps heal the stomach lining, providing long-lasting relief from acidity-related discomfort.

Swallow the Omee Capsule whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the capsule, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
Do not change your capsule dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Omee Capsule should be taken orally.

Omee Capsule may cause side effects like constipation, gas, diarrhea, mild headache, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and bloating. Allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or swelling of the face and throat may occur in rare cases.

Management Of Side Effects:

Most of the above mentioned side effects resolve on discontinuation of the capsule and are temporary and in majority of the cases do not require medical attention. In case any of these side effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor regarding the same.

Omee Capsule contains the following component:

Omeprazole (20 mg): It is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces the production of stomach acid. By reducing stomach acid, it helps heal ulcers, reduce inflammation in the oesophagus, and manage symptoms such as stomach pain, heartburn, and irritation in the digestive system.

Pregnancy

Is it safe to use Omee Capsules during pregnancy?

The safety of Omee Capsule during pregnancy has not been fully established. It is advisable to inform your doctor before taking this capsule during pregnancy.

Breastfeeding

Is it safe to consume Omee Capsules during breastfeeding?

Omee Capsule is excreted in breast milk and it's recommended not to take this capsule by breastfeeding women.

Alcohol

Is it safe to drink alcohol while taking Omee Capsules?

It is recommended to avoid alcohol after taking Omee Capsule. Alcohol can further worsen the side effects caused by the capsule.

Liver

Is it advisable to take Omee Capsules when experiencing liver problems?

Kidney

Drug-Drug Interactions

Omee Capsule can interact with medications, including:

Antiepileptic agents such as diazepam and phenytoin. This capsule can delay the elimination of these medicines.
Antiarrhythmics such as digoxin. This capsule may interfere with the absorption of digoxin.
Antifungal agents such as voriconazole can raise the blood levels of this capsule.
Antiplatelet agents such as warfarin, clopidogrel and cilostazol. This capsule can delay the elimination of warfarin. Co-administration of clopidogrel with this capsule may reduce the activity of clopidogrel if given concomitantly. This capsule may increase the effects of cilostazol.
Immunosuppressants such as cyclosporine. This capsule can delay the elimination of cyclosporine.
Immunosuppressants such as tacrolimus. This capsule may increase blood levels of tacrolimus.
Medications for cancer such as methotrexate. This capsule may increase blood levels of methotrexate.
Medications for HIV infection such as atazanavir, nelfinavir and saquinavir. This capsule reduces blood levels of atazanavir and nelfinavir, and increases blood levels of saquinavir. Their concomitant use is not recommended.

Drug-Disease Interactions

Omee Capsule can interact with diseases, including:

Liver impairment: This capsule may further damage the liver.
Bone fractures: Long-term or multiple daily doses of this capsule may increase the risk for osteoporosis-related fractures of the hip, wrist or spine.
Hypomagnesemia (low magnesium levels in the blood): Prolonged treatment with this capsule may cause hypomagnesemia.

Daily Dose

Take the daily dose of Omee Capsule as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as the severity of the condition and response to treatment. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and not exceed it without consulting your doctor.

Over Dose

If you take an excessive amount of Omee Capsule by accident, it is essential to take immediate medical attention from your doctor or nearby hospital. Symptoms of an overdose include constipation, gas, nausea, vomiting, headache, and diarrhoea.

Missed Dose

If you forgot to take Omee Capsule, take them as soon as you remember. If the time for the next dosage is close, it is recommended to skip the missed one now and resume your regular dosage pattern. Never increase your dosage without consulting your doctor.

Store this medicine at a temperature below 25 ºC.
Protect it from light and moisture.
Keep Omee Capsule away from children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

Instead of consuming large meals, opt for smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day. It helps to reduce the workload on the stomach and minimises acid production.
Alcohol can irritate the stomach lining and increase acid production. Minimise or avoid alcohol intake during the treatment period.
Avoid lying down immediately after meals. Allow at least two to three hours after eating before lying down or going to bed. It helps prevent acid reflux by allowing food to digest properly.
