Ticavic 60 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Preventing heart attacks in patients with acute coronary syndrome

• Reducing the risk of stroke

• Managing unstable angina

• Improving blood flow to the heart

• Preventing blood clot formation in coronary arteries

• Reducing cardiovascular event risk in heart patients

Follow these instructions while taking Ticavic 60 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not split, crush, or chew the tablet.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food.

• Take it at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels in your body.

• Continue taking this medicine for as long as your doctor advises.

Ticavic 60 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Ticavic 60 Tablet 10 contains Ticagrelor (60 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Platelet aggregation inhibition: Ticagrelor prevents blood platelets from sticking together and forming clots by blocking specific receptors called P2Y12 on the surface of platelets.

• Receptor binding: It reversibly binds to P2Y12 receptors, which means the effect is temporary and can be reversed, unlike some other antiplatelet medicines.

• ADP blockade: Ticagrelor prevents a substance called adenosine diphosphate (ADP) from activating the P2Y12 receptor, which would otherwise signal platelets to clump together.

• Blood flow improvement: By preventing unwanted blood clots, ticagrelor helps maintain proper blood flow through your arteries, particularly those supplying your heart with oxygen-rich blood.
