Clavam 625 Tablet is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including respiratory infections, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and skin infections. It works by stopping bacterial growth, helping to clear the infection and reduce symptoms like pain, swelling, and fever.

• It is essential to follow your doctor's instructions when taking medication. 
• Be sure to take Clavam 625 mg Tablet precisely as prescribed, both in terms of the recommended dose and the duration of the medication. 
• Do not attempt to chew, crush or break the tablet, but rather swallow it whole. 
• You should take a Clavam 625 mg Tablet with food to ensure optimal efficacy.

Clavam 625 mg Tablet is administered orally, which means it is taken by mouth with a glass of water. 

• The Clavam 625 mg tablet contains a mixture of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. 
• Amoxicillin is a semi-synthetic penicillin. It shows the medical action by attacking the cell wall of infectious bacteria. Due to this, the cell wall becomes weak, and the cell finally collapses. 
• Bacteria that are resistant to amoxicillin can produce beta-lactamases that are capable of attacking amoxicillin. Hence, clavulanic acid was added.
• Clavulanic acid has a similar structure of penicillin. Clavulanic acid inhibits the inactivation of amoxicillin due to the attack of beta-lactamase by inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes. 
• These enzymes are produced by infectious bacteria which are resistant to amoxicillin. Clavulanic acid alone does not have therapeutic activity. It can exert action only in combination with amoxicillin. 

• Store clavam 625 mg tablets away from light, air and heat.
• Medicine must be stored away from sight and reach of children.
• The clavam 625 mg tablet should be stored at a temperature between 20-25 degrees Celsius.

• Fruits like citrus fruits, grapefruit, soda, tomato and chocolate should be avoided as they are high in acid content. The acid will lead to decreased absorption of amoxicillin.
• Consuming foods that are high in fibre such as nuts, seeds, beans, lentils, and berries can provide numerous health benefits.
• Do not drink alcohol while taking antibiotics, including Clavam 625 mg tablet. 
• Avoid using tobacco. 

• Diarrhoea may occur as a side effect. The use of probiotics along with antibiotics may help. 
• Let the doctor know if you notice bloody stools and feel abdominal cramps.
• Do not continue the Clavam 625 mg tablet if you see rashes, swelling on the face, throat irritation and breathing difficulties.
• Eat simple food, avoid rich or spicy food, and drink plenty of water while taking a Clavam 625 mg tablet.
