TASMULINE 0.4 TABLET 10 is used to ease the urinary symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH) in men, such as a weak stream, difficulty starting to urinate, dribbling and the need to pass urine frequently, especially at night.
It contains tamsulosin, an alpha-blocker that relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck to improve urine flow. Take it, ideally about 30 minutes after the same meal each day, and stand up slowly as it can lower blood pressure on standing.
Going to the toilet at regular times and limiting fluids in the evening can help with urinary symptoms alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you are due to have eye surgery (cataract or glaucoma), as this medicine can affect the procedure. Report fainting, very marked dizziness, or an erection lasting more than 4 hours.
