Ticagrace 90 Tablet is an antiplatelet medicine used to help prevent blood clots in people with acute coronary syndrome (such as a heart attack or unstable angina) and after procedures like angioplasty and stent placement. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing ticagrelor, and belongs to a class of medicines called P2Y12 platelet inhibitors.
This medicine works by stopping platelets in the blood from sticking together, which lowers the risk of a further heart attack, stroke or blocked blood vessel. It is usually taken with low-dose aspirin as your doctor advises. Take it exactly as prescribed, with or without food, at the same times each day.
Quitting smoking, eating a heart-healthy diet and staying active within your doctor's advice support better heart health alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have bleeding problems, recent surgery or injury, stomach ulcers, asthma, gout or liver problems, and about any other medicines you take, especially blood thinners. Tell any doctor or dentist you are taking it before a procedure. Get urgent help for unusual or prolonged bleeding, black stools or sudden breathlessness.
