Ranogard Tablet is used to manage long-term (chronic) angina, the chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart, helping prevent attacks. It is usually used alongside other heart medicines.
It contains ranolazine, an anti-anginal medicine. It works by helping the heart muscle use energy and oxygen more efficiently, which reduces angina.
Swallow the tablet whole as prescribed, without crushing or chewing, and continue it even when you feel well.
Tell your doctor about all other medicines before use, as ranolazine interacts with many and can affect the heart rhythm, and avoid grapefruit juice. Report fainting or a fast or irregular heartbeat.
