CompositionRanx 500 Tablet is used to manage chronic angina (chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart). It is a single-ingredient anti-anginal medicine containing ranolazine.
It helps lower how often angina attacks occur and is often used alongside beta-blockers or calcium channel blockers when these do not fully control symptoms. Swallow the tablet whole with water, without crushing or chewing it, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Continue it even when your symptoms improve.
Eat a low-salt, low-fat diet with fewer fried foods, stay active as your doctor advises, maintain a healthy weight and avoid smoking.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take, as some can change how this medicine works. Tell your doctor if you notice dizziness, fainting or an irregular heartbeat. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
