Ranx 500 Tablet is used to manage chronic angina (chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart) by improving blood flow and reducing the workload on the heart. Regular use helps lower the frequency of angina attacks.
It contains ranolazine and is often used alongside other angina medicines, such as beta-blockers or calcium channel blockers, when these do not fully control symptoms. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Take it as prescribed, and continue treatment even if your symptoms improve, to maintain protection against chest pain.
Heart-healthy habits can support treatment, such as eating a low-salt, low-fat diet, staying physically active as advised by your doctor, maintaining a healthy weight, and avoiding smoking.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, or if you are taking other medicines, as some interactions can affect how this tablet works. Tell your doctor if you notice dizziness, fainting, or an irregular heartbeat.
