Pantakind Tablet is used to treat conditions caused by excess stomach acid, such as gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and acid reflux. It also helps prevent stomach irritation from long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (NSAIDs). It contains pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that reduces the amount of acid your stomach produces.
The tablet is best swallowed whole, preferably in the morning before food, without crushing or chewing it. Take it as prescribed and complete the full course advised by your doctor, even if your symptoms improve early, to support healing and reduce the chance of the problem returning.
Avoiding foods and drinks that trigger acid reflux, such as spicy or fatty meals, caffeine, and alcohol, can help improve symptom control. Eating smaller meals, avoiding lying down soon after eating, and maintaining a healthy weight may also reduce acid-related discomfort.
Tell your doctor before starting if you have liver or kidney problems, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take other medicines. Report any unexplained weight loss, difficulty swallowing, or black stools promptly, as these may need further investigation.
