CompositionMirbeg 50 Tablet is used to treat the symptoms of an overactive bladder in adults, such as a sudden urge to pass urine, passing urine often and leaking urine (urge incontinence). It is a single-ingredient medicine containing mirabegron, which belongs to a class of medicines called beta-3 adrenergic agonists.
This medicine relaxes the bladder muscle so the bladder can hold more urine, reducing urgency and accidents. It does not cause the dry mouth that some other bladder medicines do. Take it once a day with water, with or without food, swallowed whole without crushing or chewing. It may take a few weeks to work fully.
Bladder training, pelvic floor exercises, spreading drinks through the day, and cutting down on caffeine, fizzy drinks and alcohol can improve bladder control.
Do not take this medicine if you have severe, uncontrolled high blood pressure. Before starting, tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart rhythm problems, kidney or liver disease, or difficulty emptying your bladder, and about other medicines you take, especially digoxin and certain antidepressants and heart medicines. Your doctor may check your blood pressure. Do not take it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Contact your doctor if you have a fast or pounding heartbeat, a large rise in blood pressure, or cannot pass urine. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
