Mirakem 50 Tablet 10

Mirakem-50 Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms: This condition leads to uncontrollable bladder muscle contractions, causing an urgent need to urinate, frequent urination, and inability to control urination.

• Increasing bladder capacity: The medicine helps relax the detrusor smooth muscle during the storage phase of the urinary bladder fill-void cycle, thereby helping your bladder hold more urine.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew, divide, or crush this tablet.

• It's essential to remember not to exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Mirakem-50 Tablet is taken orally.

Mirakem-50 Tablet contains mirabegron (50 mg) and works on your body as follows:

• Beta-3 Adrenoceptor Activation: Mirabegron activates beta-3 adrenoceptors in your body. These receptors play a key role in regulating bladder function.

• Detrusor Muscle Relaxation: Once activated, these receptors help relax the detrusor smooth muscle in your bladder during its storage phase, allowing your bladder to hold more urine.

• Increased Bladder Capacity: By relaxing this muscle, mirabegron effectively increases bladder capacity, reducing involuntary contractions and delaying the initial urge to void.

• Store Mirakem-50 Tablet ideally at a temperature below 30°C.

• Keep the tablet in a tightly closed container, shielded from light and moisture.

• Always place the medication out of reach of children.

• Use the tablet before its expiry date for best results.

• Managing an overactive bladder can be aided by controlling fluid intake. Try limiting fluids in the evening to reduce night-time urination caused by OAB.

• Incorporate bladder-friendly foods into your diet. Certain foods like tomatoes, citrus fruits, chocolate, and spicy foods can irritate your bladder. Aim to consume more foods that won't irritate your bladder, such as bananas, rice, and potatoes.
