CompositionMET XL T 50 TABLET 20 is a medicine used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. By keeping blood pressure under control, it helps reduce the risk of serious problems such as heart attack and stroke, and it can be useful for people who cannot take ACE inhibitors.
It contains telmisartan and metoprolol, which belong to groups of medicines called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) and beta-blockers. It relax the blood vessels and slow the heart rate. It is usually taken at the same time each day. Continue taking it even if you feel well, and do not stop a beta-blocker-containing medicine suddenly, as this can worsen heart problems.
