Feburic 20 Tablet is used to manage gout by lowering the level of uric acid in the blood. Keeping uric acid under control helps prevent the painful joint attacks, redness, and swelling that gout causes.
It contains febuxostat, which belongs to a group of medicines that reduce uric acid production. Take it with or without food as prescribed. Gout flares can sometimes occur when starting treatment as uric acid levels change; do not stop the medicine if this happens.
Drinking plenty of fluids (particularly water), limiting alcohol, especially beer and spirits, and reducing foods high in purines such as red meat, seafood, and offal all help keep uric acid levels lower alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any heart disease, stroke, or kidney or liver problems. Tell your doctor if you develop a severe rash or any signs of a heart problem.
