Feburic 20 Tablet is used in adults to manage chronic gout by lowering uric acid levels and reducing the frequency of painful gout attacks.

Uses of Feburic 20 Tablet are:

• Chronic Gout: Lowers blood uric acid levels to reduce how often painful gout attacks occur.
• Joint Protection: Helps prevent joint damage from long-term urate crystal build up.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's close to your next dose, skip the missed one. Never double up on doses.

Feburic 20 Tablet is taken orally.

Feburic 20 Tablet contains febuxostat (20 mg), which works on your body as follows:

• Inhibits Xanthine Oxidase: Febuxostat works by blocking an enzyme called xanthine oxidase (XO) in your body. This enzyme is responsible for converting purines, substances naturally present in the body, into uric acid.

• Reduces Uric Acid Production: By inhibiting the activity of xanthine oxidase, febuxostat effectively reduces the production of uric acid in the body. This results in lower blood uric acid levels, helping to prevent the painful symptoms of gout.

• Store Feburic 20 Tablet in a cool, dry place at room temperature, ideally below 30°C

• Protect it from light and keep the packaging tightly closed to prevent exposure to air and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Ensure you use the product before its expiry date indicated on the packaging.

• Ensure that you maintain a low-purine diet by limiting intake of foods rich in purines such as red meats, seafood, and alcohol. This will help decrease uric acid levels in your body which is beneficial for managing gout.

• Regular mild exercise like walking or cycling can help maintain joint mobility and flexibility. However, avoid strenuous activities that may trigger a gout attack. Always consult your doctor for suitable exercises.
