Melacare Cream is used to manage hyperpigmentation disorders such as melasma, freckles, age spots, and dark patches left after skin inflammation. It helps lighten uneven skin tone and reduce the appearance of dark patches on the skin.
It contains hydroquinone, which reduces melanin production to lighten dark patches, tretinoin, which speeds up skin cell turnover, and mometasone, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation. Apply it to the affected areas only, as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid applying to unaffected skin. Apply sunscreen of SPF 30 or above every morning without fail, as sun exposure may reduce the effectiveness of this cream and can worsen pigmentation.
Consistent sun protection is an essential part of treatment. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit direct sun exposure, particularly during peak hours.
Before using this cream, tell your doctor if you have sensitive skin or a history of skin reactions. Do not use on broken skin, around the eyes, or on large areas of the body. This cream is for short-term use only; prolonged use beyond the prescribed period can cause skin thinning and other corticosteroid-related effects. Not recommended during pregnancy without specialist advice.
