Bimat LS Eye Drops are used for managing open-angle glaucoma and reducing ocular hypertension.

Uses of Bimat Ls Eye Drops 3ml are:

• Open-Angle Glaucoma: Lowers raised intraocular pressure to help protect the optic nerve.
• Ocular Hypertension: Manages raised eye pressure to reduce the risk of vision loss.

To correctly administer Bimat LS Eye Drops, please follow these steps:

• Wash your hands thoroughly.

• Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a pouch.

• Hold the dropper directly over the eye and squeeze out one drop, taking care not to touch the tip of the dropper with your eye or any other surface.

• Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes without blinking or squinting. If possible, gently press at the corner of the eye (near your nose) for about 1 minute. This will keep the liquid from draining out.

• Repeat the process in your other eye if directed by your doctor.

• Remember to replace the cap after each use.

Bimat LS Eye Drops contain two active ingredients:

• Bimatoprost (0.01%): This synthetic prostamide analogue imitates the action of natural prostaglandins in your body. It works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor, fluid in your eyes, via two mechanisms. First, it relaxes the ciliary muscle and increases the space between ciliary muscle bundles, facilitating the drainage of aqueous humor through the uveoscleral route. Second, it enhances the flow of aqueous humor through the trabecular meshwork, the primary drainage pathway in the eye. By doing so, bimatoprost effectively reduces IOP.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.005%): This ingredient acts as a preservative in the eye drops, preventing microbial contamination. However, it's important to note that long-term use of products containing benzalkonium chloride may be associated with ocular surface toxicity.

• Store Bimat LS Eye Drops at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use to avoid contamination.
