Liponorm Asp Capsule 15 is used to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in patients with high cholesterol, diabetes, or existing heart disease. It lowers LDL and triglycerides, increases HDL, and slows the progression of atherosclerosis. This combination therapy also supports long-term prevention of major cardiovascular events in high-risk individuals.

• Swallow one capsule whole with a glass of water.

Liponorm Asp Capsule 15 combines two active ingredients:

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): This ingredient works by selectively inhibiting an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme is responsible for transforming HMG-CoA into mevalonate, a precursor of cholesterol. With atorvastatin blocking this process, there is a reduction in total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, along with a slight increase in HDL cholesterol levels. The overall effect reduces the risk of plaque formation and progression within your blood vessels.
• Aspirin (75 mg): Aspirin halts an enzyme known as cyclooxygenase (COX), which usually aids in producing thromboxane A2. Thromboxane A2 encourages blood clotting and narrows blood vessels. By blocking COX, aspirin prevents blood clots that could potentially block arteries and cause heart attacks or strokes.

• Store at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.
