Meftal-Spas Tablet is used for short-term relief of painful abdominal or uterine smooth-muscle spasm, including primary dysmenorrhoea, when prescribed. It is not a routine long-term treatment for irritable bowel syndrome.
It contains mefenamic acid, an anti-inflammatory painkiller that reduces pain and inflammation, and dicyclomine, an antispasmodic that relaxes the tightened smooth muscle of internal organs.
Take the tablet exactly as directed by your doctor, and do not exceed the recommended dose.
Tell your doctor about any stomach, kidney, liver or heart problems before starting. Stop the tablet and seek help for black stools, vomiting blood, facial swelling, difficulty breathing, or reduced urination.
