Mactor ASP 75 Capsule is used to treat high cholesterol and help prevent heart attack and stroke in high-risk patients. It combines atorvastatin (to reduce LDL cholesterol) and aspirin (to inhibit platelet aggregation), improving lipid profile and reducing clot formation in atherosclerosis. 

• Boosting HDL-cholesterol levels
• Assisting diet control for primary hyperlipidemia (heterozygous familial and nonfamilial) or mixed dyslipidemia
• Managing total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol in homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia

To get the most benefit from Mactor ASP 75 Capsule, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the capsule whole with water.

• Do not chew or crush the capsule.

Mactor ASP 75 Capsule is taken orally.

Mactor ASP 75 Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Aspirin (75 mg): This ingredient works by irreversibly inhibiting an enzyme called cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) in your blood platelets. COX-1 is responsible for the production of thromboxane A2, a substance that promotes platelet aggregation (clumping together), which can lead to blood clots. By blocking COX-1, aspirin reduces platelet aggregation, thus lowering the risk of blood clots and subsequent heart attacks and strokes.

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): This ingredient belongs to a group of medicines known as statins. It works by competitively inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme involved in cholesterol production in your liver. By blocking this enzyme, atorvastatin increases the number of low-density lipoprotein (LDL, or "bad" cholesterol) receptors on the surface of liver cells. This leads to an increased uptake and breakdown of LDL, resulting in lower levels of LDL cholesterol in your blood.

• Store Mactor ASP 75 Capsule in a cool, dry place.
