K-Glim-M 2mg Tablet is primarily used to manage blood sugar levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes. It is beneficial when lifestyle changes, including diet and exercise, are insufficient to control blood glucose, helping to regulate sugar levels for better diabetes management.

• Swallow the K-Glim-M 2mg Tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Do not change your dose or take them more often than prescribed.

K-Glim-M 2mg Tablet is taken orally.

K-Glim-M 2mg Tablet contains the following components:

• Metformin Hydrochloride (500 mg): It decreases glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity in muscle and fat cells. The body can better use insulin to transport glucose into cells, reducing blood sugar levels. Metformin also helps to lower the amount of glucose absorbed from the gut.
• Glimepiride (2 mg): It works by stimulating the pancreas to release insulin. Insulin is a hormone that helps the body to utilise glucose from the blood for energy. In people with type 2 diabetes, there is either insufficient insulin production or the body's cells become resistant to insulin's effects, leading to high blood sugar levels. Glimepiride helps to lower blood sugar levels by increasing insulin secretion from the pancreas.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep K-Glim-M 2mg Tablet away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Incorporate foods with low glycemic index, such as green leafy vegetables, whole grains, berries, citrus fruits, chia seeds, bitter gourd and extra virgin olive oil.
• Limit your intake of processed and high-sugar foods, which can cause spikes in blood sugar levels.
• Avoid refined sugar intake in any form. Instead, use natural sweeteners such as stevia, sugar alcohols, yacon syrup, allulose, and monk fruit sweeteners.
• Engage in regular physical activity, which can help improve insulin sensitivity and blood sugar control.
• Quit smoking, as smoking can increase the risk of complications associated with diabetes.
• Watch your sodium intake and not exceed it beyond 5g per day to avoid heart conditions with diabetes.
